Legislators Backer & Murphy Call on MNGOP Chair Hann to Stop ‘Favoritism’ and Reinstate Otter Tail County Delegates Immediately

The two legislators who represent Otter Tail County, Minnesota penned a letter last night to MNGOP Chair David Hann and the State Executive Committee calling on them to “honor the intent of 2024 caucus participants” and “reinstate all 2024 Otter Tail County Delegates and Alternates.”

As you may recall, Chair Hann unilaterally decided to remove all 2024 elected delegates in Otter Tail County in a perceived show of favoritism to the local Establishment and possibly, to protect a legitimate endorsement challenge to Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach. She’s being challenged by newcomer, Steve Boyd and Otter Tail County will soon select their delegates to the Congressional District 7 convention.

Here’s the letter, posted by Rep Tom Murphy:

Soon after posting this letter publicly, other legislators joined with Reps Backer and Murphy in calling on Chair Hann to reinstate the delegates.

  1. Thank you Erik. Thanks for helping us in this battle. We love Action 4 Liberty and the Truth Hurts podcasts. I think Mr. Hann is stalling his decision till it gets too close to cd7 convention leaving us not enough time to do anything. We fight on!
