Last night, Dr. Anthony Fauci was set to give a special lecture at the University of Minnesota. But hours before the lecture was going to begin, the University of Minnesota issued a statement that the lecture had been “rescheduled” due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
We contacted the University this morning and they stated that both Fauci and the campus determined it was a good idea to cancel the lecture “in the interest of safety.”
Action 4 Liberty was planning a large, peaceful protest outside of Northrop Hall where the lecture was scheduled to take place. In the history of rallies and protests put on by Action 4 Liberty, including the health freedom rallies during COVID, no violence or property damage was ever tied to an event.
According to Action 4 Liberty’s lead organizer, the University was difficult to work with and gave the appearance they were uncomfortable with the protest. On Monday, the day before the protest was set to take place, the University tried charging the organization a $600 fee and informed them that they required $1 Million in liability coverage.
Monday evening, Pro-Palestine protests emerged on the University of Minnesota campus which led to damaged property and an attempt to take over Morrill Hall. 11 protestors were arrested.
Organizers of that protests say the protests were a call for the University to divest from companies that support Israel. The pro-Palestine protests had nothing to do with Dr. Fauci’s visit to Minnesota.
It’s unclear exactly what safety concerns the University and Fauci had last night, but their official statement is that the lecture will be “rescheduled.” Action 4 Liberty plans on rescheduling its peaceful protest to the newly announced date so they can bring awareness to Fauci’s record of lying to the American people and funding gain-of-function research in the Wuhan lab.
