Threats to Gun Owners; Democrats Author Bill to BAN Commonly Used Lead Ammo

Legislators in the Democrat controlled Minnesota House and Senate have introduced an extreme bill that would prohibit the use of commonly used lead ammunition in the state and for anglers. SF3792 authored by Sen Jen McEwen, and co-authored by US Congressional candidate, Sen Kelly Morrison, would make it illegal for hunters to possess lead ammunition after an unspecificed date.

This radical bill also establishes a government-run ammunition buy back program if the backers can convince their colleagues to fund this radical measure.

To make matters worse, the bill prohibits the use of lead ammunition on gun ranges in the state. However, according to the bill, it exempts “peace officers, other government officials or employees, or their agents.”

Lead ammunition is commonly used for target shooting and hunting. There’s been a long term ban on the use of lead ammunition for waterfowl hunting, which is commonly accepted in the hunting community, despite some debate over the efficacy of the policy. But in the field or at the target range, lead shot and bullets are the choice of most sportsmen.

Is this another way for anti-gun, metro Democrats to disarm Minnesotans?

Here’s the language of the bill.
