Tayler Rahm Exits Race Under Cloud of Suspicion in Move Seen As Orchestrated by RINO Tom Emmer

Less than 24 hours ago volunteers, activists, paid staffers and unpaid members of the Minnesota Congressional District 2 GOP were working to help get their endorsed candidate, Tayler Rahm, across the finish line in the August 13th primary against Tom Emmer backed candidate Joe Teirab. And they hoped all that work would go towards defeating leftist Angie Craig in November.

This morning, these same great patriots who gave their time and money over the last several months to support Rahm, learned that Rahm quit on them by suspending his campaign to take on a role as a “senior advisor” with Trump’s Minnesota campaign.

I’ve chatted with many of these people this morning, and they feel betrayed by Rahm. And many assume foul play was at hand.

Tayler Rahm is a newcomer. He’s never led a large scale, statewide campaign or been involved in politics in any grand capacity. It was part of the allure of his race in CD2 – the grassroots wanted an outsider. So why would Trump’s campaign want him as an advisor and not on the campaign trail defeating Angie Craig?

Rep Tom Emmer was appointed to run Trump’s Minnesota campaign recently, a move questioned by many after Trump himself referred to Emmer as a “Globalist RINO” in the brief moment Emmer was the leading candidate for Speaker of the House. The appointment was looked at as a politically convenient alliance to unify the MAGA movement with the Establishment money guys.

Emmer has become the defacto leader of the Republican congressional delegation in Minnesota and is often seen, either directly or through his loyalists, playing in all races that affect congressional races in winnable Republican districts.

His staffer Bobby Benson, who is also on the MNGOP State Executive Committee, was a constant ally of corrupt MNGOP Chair David Hann when they removed hundreds of Otter Tail County delegates early this year. That unprecedented move crushed the hopes of Emmer-aligned Rep Michelle Fischbach challenger, Steve Boyd, winning the Congressional District 7 endorsement in April.

Fischbach and Boyd are battling it out in the August 13th primary.

Emmer also backed Tayler Rahm’s primary opponent, Joe Teirab. They even have a FEC regulated joint fundraising committee

Appointing Rahm to the Minnesota Trump campaign to pave the way for Teirab appears to be a great strategic move by Emmer, but some people believe it may have been done illegally. According to MN Statute 211B.10:

a person may not reward or promise to reward another in any manner to induce the person to be or refrain from or cease being a candidate. A person may not solicit or receive a payment, promise, or reward from another for this purpose.

Kari Lake made headlines earliest this year when she publicized a scheme by the Republican Establishment to get her to exit the Arizona Senate race by offering her a gig outside of the campaign. This corrupt behavior happens and should be condemned.

While Rahm has been gifted a padded position with the Trump MN campaign, and will be in the good graces of the Republican Establishment because of his kowtowing to Emmer, how he’s viewed by grassroots conservatives is in free fall.

Several people I’ve chatted with this morning feel betrayed because they gave their time and money to help out someone who they believed was campaigning for advancing liberty and believed in the movement. Now they think Rahm sold out on them by taking this position because it appears orchestrated by Emmer and cements his power in another congressional district.

Rahm sought the Republican endorsement, filed in the primary and led his supporters to believe he was in the race for the long haul. Here’s a social media post from just yesterday.

Teirab was not liked by the grassroots, which is why he performed so poorly in the endorsement race. Rahm beat him by 74% to 26%. No other candidate can get in the race at this point since ballots have already been printed. Republicans in Congressional District 2 will be stuck with a guy who they rejected, did not want, and is beholden to Tom Emmer. All because Tayler Rahm made the choice to betray his supporters and quit! I think he owes them answers.

  1. This is a double whammy. Hann gets to destroy the caucus and grassroots. Emmer gets to manipulate everyone. The party is now destroyed. Why be a Delegate? Why volunteer?

  2. Of this was orchestrated by Emmer, then it was de facto orchestrated by Trump since Emmer is a Trump appointed point man.

We need to look at this logically and realize what’s happening: they’re all the swamp, even the self appointed drainmaster.
