Prosecutor States He Has “Admission” or “Confession” by Senator Nicole Mitchell in New Court Document; Controlled Substances Found

A newly published court document from Becker County prosector, Brian McDonald, states that there is a “confession” or “admission” in his possession relating to the first degree burglary charge of Democrat Senator Nicole Mitchell. This document was just admitted to the court yesterday and showed up in the public view today.

In another court document made available today from the prosecuting attorney’s office, suspected controlled substances related to the case are being sent to the BCA lab. Link to document

At the time of publication, Senate Democrats are apparently still allowing Sen Nicole Mitchell to be a member of the DFL caucus and she continues voting on the key pieces of legislation in the Minnesota Senate.

UPDATE: The court document referencing “suspected controlled substances” has now been replaced with a new document by the prosecutor that does not contain that language. According to the Star Tribune, that was a boilerplate disclosure that was added by “mistake.”
