Democrat Chair Calls for Burglar Senator to Resign After She Already Voted on End-of-Session Legislation

Chair of the Minnesota Democrat Party, Ken Martin, called for the resignation of Senator Nicole Mitchell after she remained a voting member of the legislature at the end of the 2024 Legislative Session. Mitchell was arrested for felony burglary on April 22nd and booked into the Becker County jail. Although she returned to her full legislative duties shortly afterwards and was able to vote on key pieces of legislation as the Democrat Establishment buried her ethics complaint.

Action 4 Liberty, the largest conservative grassroots group in Minnesota, began a door knocking and signage campaign against Mitchell in her district. Protests from her constituents formed outside the Senate chambers as she cast votes on new laws that impact all Minnesotans.

The evidence that Mitchell a) committed burglary and b) took advantage of an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s grew in the week following her arrest. But the Democrat power brokers like Ken Martin, stood by Mitchell so they could advance their leftist agenda in the final weeks of the legislative session. Martin’s call for resignation is a joke coming this late, but at least one Democrat has recognized the severity of what Mitchell did on April 22nd…finally.

Here’s Martin’s press release:
